I’m Teaching a Workshop!

I’m Teaching a Workshop!

This is just a quickie, as I don’t really have the time to compose anything meaningful. I’m over at the Creative Direction Workshop with Anne Cain, CrocoDesigns, and Christine M. Griffin, where we’re teaching cover design and all that jazz. My classes focus more on the tools and the techniques, since vision and inspiration aren’t really as teachable. Either you have an eye, or you don’t.

I’m also busy working on covers and various other things, getting over my second cold of the year (already!!!), which I likely got during my little trip to San Francisco during inauguration week.

I have tons of new stuff to post, but I’ll do those another time.

In the meantime, if you want to know some of my Photoshop secrets, there still might be time to register!

  1. When will you be uploading new covers? I enjoy seeing your work. It’s like a quilt of amazing craftsmanship when posted all together here.

  2. I’ll try to get some up in the next week. The last two months have been a little tight schedule-wise, what with two trips, two colds, and a workshop. I’ve been playing catch-up ever since and trying to build up another set of advance buffers for each of my publishers (where I build up some work so that I’m actually ahead a few projects). Plus, I’ve been gradually replacing bits and pieces of my hardware as I go, which sometimes takes time if I have to do any troubleshooting.

I definitely need to update my portfolio site with the new stuff, though. 🙂

  3. A workshop! Add another feather to you accomplishments!
I, too am lookibg forward to the new “quilt” of covers.
    Am very proud of you.
