This one is a futuristic story illustration for The Writers Post Journal. The main character, Shepard, is a Pack Leader who can trace his bloodline all the way back to Norwegian Elkhounds.
Uh, and canines rule the world, by the way. They walk on two feet and have opposable thumbs, thanks to their mutation after the humans blew themselves up with nuclear weapons.
It’s not a very long story, so I really couldn’t tell you much more.
But, sadly, no socks get eaten in this story.
I’m not sure how I’d feel about dogs ruling the world. What is he carrying in his hand? Is that a stick or a torch?
Just a stick, though it could be a rusty lead pipe instead. But not a torch.
