My Grandmother’s Legacy

My maternal grandmother passed away last night. She was in her mid-80s and had been in a lot of pain, so I’m not as sad as I thought I’d be. She had a long life and had at least three great-grandchildren, thanks to her eight children and over a dozen grandchildren. Taken, I think, at the Lost Camel hotel or just west of it. It’s where I found the post office and the much cooler gift shops with the funny didgeridoo books. The gift shop at my hotel, Sails in the Desert, was over-the-top expensive, too rich for my shopping sense.
