Drowning in Comment Spam

Drowning in Comment Spam

I don’t moderate my blog comments as often as I should, and unless a comment is from someone I’ve approved once before, a comment will hang in moderation purgatory until I get to it. Well … when I checked the comments tonight prior to writing a little something, I found around 750 comments awaiting moderation. My jaw dropped. Most of it is spam, of course—probably even all of them. But when I clicked over to the comment moderation page, the…

Get 6 Books for 1 Buck Each

I’m a sucker for Item-of-the-Month type clubs. In Case You’re Remotely Interested

Our remote control died today. It was a sudden death—quick, painless, and completely unexpected. Friday the 13th

Friday the 13th

Tim Russert passed today. H.E. is a really big fan of his and has never failed to watch Meet the Press every week, and I always know it’s Sunday if I hear that show’s theme song playing on TV and see H.E. sitting with the remote and marveling at the guests that Russert managed to get. We missed the first announcement of this bit of news because I had a little bit of heart trouble this morning and had to…
