Give me your tired feet,
\n      poor feet
\nlet me rub them
\nand give me your huddled masses
\nof sweaters I made you wear this morning
\nI know you’re yearning to breathe free
\n      of them
\nyour feet, like wretched refuse, stink
\ndip them in the waters along
\n      the teeming shore
\nand send these rolls of film
\nto your father
\nhe’s there, taking photos of
\n      the homeless
\nthis tempest-tossed umbrella
\nis no longer good to me
\nbut look at that lady
\nShe still stands lifting that lamp
\nas though beside some golden door
\nit makes you wonder
\n      what they were thinking
\nand here we sit,
\nin the safety of a shop
\n      among the postcards
