Apologies to my regular readers, especially to Drew and Mom, who have expressed concern. I’ve been remiss in updating this thing and skipped my usual bi-weekly work post, too.

I was sick the last month or two, first with acute bronchitis (I never get the ugly kind) and then with some mild kind of stomach bug. I’ve managed to keep busy with work and other stuff, though. My sister got married on the 8th, and afterward H.E. and I toured the U.S.S. Midway. Me on the flight deck of a carrier getting sunburned? Exactly what my doctor ordered when she prescribed my antibiotics.

Thank goodness we rescheduled a trip we had planned for late August!

I also just recently got in touch with a lot of my old classmates from junior high and high school after finding each other online. Never mind that I’ve been online since the ’90s, easy to find because I never changed my name and I’m at the top of nearly every search page for “April Martinez”—it’s like we’ve all just discovered this wonderful intarweb made up of tubes! Who knew?!

Somebody’s got to rediscover the wheel, and we’re just the people to do it.

Anyway, I’ll try to do better about posting more regularly. My name is April, and I’m a recovering blog avoider. It’s been three weeks since I last posted.

I’m getting back on the wagon and taking it one day at a time…

Share this post:
