While I was crocheting a hooded baby afghan for an expecting friend, Minnie<\/a> asked to see photos of it when I finished. Well … that was a while back, and I’ve since worked on other things, as I’ve mentioned before<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Today, I got around to taking a picture of the baby afghan, and I decided that while I was at it, I might as well photograph some of my other projects. The big blue and white monstrosity is about four and a half feet wide and maybe six and a half feet long, big enough to cover H.E. from head to toe because that’s how he wanted it.<\/p>\n

I had been all set to call the big blanket Surf City Afghan (in honor of the town where we live and because it looks a little bit like surf), in case I wanted to write up the pattern and post it, but H.E. got the notion to call it Norman … because as I was working on it, the huge ball of blue yarn (one pound of worsted weight, for anyone who’s interested) from which I was working looked like the hair of Norman Bates’ mother. So, for a while there, whenever we referred to the blanket, we referred to it as Norman.<\/p>\n

Norman got so big that whenever I worked on him in bed, I’d have him all over on top of me. It was really, really hot.<\/p>\n

I really should crochet such things in winter.<\/p>\n

The keyboard scarf is also my own pattern. Naturally, as I’m working on it, I’m figuring out better ways I could have done it. Oh, well. Maybe I’ll do another version someday.<\/p>\n

The only crocheted item not pictured is the black, purple, and teal afghan I made for the cat. Photo taken in my bedroom, hence the creatures.<\/p>\n
