My fourth full day in Australia was a Sunday, and my godmother is a devout churchgoer. So I didn’t go on another full-day tour. Instead, I did my laundry and my postcard writing in the morning, and I got on an afternoon cruise down the river to the Fremantle Harbour and back.<\/p>\n

It seems pretty tame compared to the sandboarding of the day before, but it’s kind of hard to top a Desert Storm adventure when you’re touring unfamiliar country.<\/p>\n

The top photo is of Perth from the river. The one immediately below is also from the river cruise.<\/p>\n

When I got back from the cruise, my godmother took me back to King’s Park. It was a three-day weekend with the next day (Monday) being a holiday, so the park was full of people. We spent our time there with me getting shots of the ducks and the strange-looking Australian birds that for some reason sounded like cats in heat.<\/p>\n

The photo below was taken from King’s Park. It’s of one of the many playground areas there.<\/p>\n

Towards evening, I was ready to go back to my room at my godmother’s house, so I can rest up for another full day of sightseeing the next day. But first, I took another shot of the Perth skyline, this time from the passenger seat of my godmother’s car—the left<\/em> side, now that I think about it.<\/p>\n

I remember wishing that I’d brought my tripod when I took it, but I managed to keep still enough by leaning the camera on the window.<\/p>\n
