\nApril:<\/strong> What did you call her? Grandmother?
\nH.E.:<\/strong> I called her Gro\u00c3\u0178mutter<\/em> (Grossmutter<\/em>).
\nApril:<\/strong> Grossmutter?<\/em> Is that like fat mother<\/em>?
\nH.E.:<\/strong> It means grandmother<\/em>, not fat mother<\/em>.
\nApril:<\/strong> Okay, well. Gross<\/em> in French means fat<\/em>.
\nH.E.:<\/strong> Yes, dear. That’s why we call it German.<\/p>\n

April:<\/strong> (pointing to a can) Look, how redundant. “Tiny Shrimp.” As opposed to the oxymoron “Jumbo Shrimp.”
\nH.E.:<\/strong> There’s all kinds of shrimp. Tiny, medium, deveined (pronounces it “divined”).
\nApril:<\/strong> (espies the deveined shrimp) Deveined? You mean deveined (pronounces it “devained”)?
\nH.E.:<\/strong> That’s what I said.
\nApril:<\/strong> No, you said divined, not deveined. You did!
