I didn’t have any free time to play around, so this wasn’t done for fun (though it was!). This was actually for an ebook cover, one of four I worked on this weekend, and I liked it so much that I turned it on its side and decided to post it. About ten stock photos were butchered to make this, and the Photoshop file with all its layers intact is almost 200MB. I have another image three times the width of this one, and it’s only half the file size. Sheesh!<\/p>\n

There are areas in the image that I’d like to improve, but hey—like I have the time to wait for a file this big to load, change, and save all my little tweaks … for an ebook cover? Good God! I’ve got at least a handful more covers to do and some sites to redesign, but I think I’ll take a break and do some long overdue Whimsytoons. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

In case I fail to post tomorrow, September 7th marks the first anniversary of the day I turned in my first ebook cover over at Yoni Books. Wow, I’ve been doing this for a year now. Don’t I get a prize or something?<\/p>\nShare this post:
