November has turned into December, and in the end I never needed the Thanksgiving holiday. We went out for dinner and had not a sliver of turkey, which I don’t like anyway because even the juiciest turkey is too dry for me; I also went back to work on Friday because the deadlines were looming, and I wanted to save myself the pain of a stressful Monday. So the four-day Thanksgiving weekend sort of passed me by.<\/p>\n

Not that I care about that. I don’t need<\/i> a national holiday to remind me to be thankful. I am the lemonade stand CEO, and how does a lemonade stand CEO think? Take two half-filled glasses of lemonade and pour them into one glass. That’s how.<\/p>\n

As the saying goes, “When Life hands you lemons, make lemonade.” Not only do I make lemonade, I mass produce it, sell it for profit, and do it all with a winsome smile.<\/p>\n

I used to complain about money — about how I couldn’t afford to buy the software I really wanted or the computer that I thought I needed. My situation hasn’t changed, but my outlook is completely different. I’m actually glad<\/i> that all I have right now are hand-me-down computers and old version software that I got for free on magazine cover CDs. I’m forced to be as creative as I can be with what little I have, and I like<\/i> the results.<\/p>\n

Hmph. As if lemons were a bad thing. Receivers of apples and oranges sometimes don’t even do as well.<\/p>\n
