So I’m back. I opened up my inbox this morning, the first time since before I left, and discovered I overestimated the volume I’d have. I received only about 1200 e-mails, not 1500. Whew. Because that extra 300 can really break a camel’s back, you know. A quarter of that was spam. Over a half were group, forum, and blog notifications. An eighth were from friends and family with news, jokes, and unwanted chain letters. The final eighth was work-related….

Out of Town Again

I’m leaving super, super early tomorrow morning and won’t get back until super, super late Monday night. By the time I get back, I will have met at least two of my online friends, and—if my e-mail volume today is any indication—I will have at least fifteen hundred e-mails waiting for me. Sigh. This is an illustration I did for a story called “One” by Marlo Dianne, to be published in the seventh issue of Tales of the Talisman.
