First one was taken with the telephoto lens after I spent the morning in the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve. While there, I managed to capture an egret a heron, a hawk, and a hummingbird—woohoo! Second one was taken earlier in the morning with the kit lens before I went on the reserve—same flower just outside and in the residential area, but from the side and with better light. There’s an old water tower in Huntington Beach that was long ago converted into a 3-story house. The 3-story house is, of course, on top of a 3-story platform of some kind, making the top story at least six stories high.
